Iran is ready to restart atomic talks with the United States on condition that it is handled with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has announced.

Abbas Araghchi stated exclusively dialogue worked, and revealed fresh requests had originated from mediators to reopen negotiations with the US government. He claimed Iran had zero undeclared nuclear sites, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Walking a Difficult Course

Araghchi is walking a difficult path since Iran does not want be seen to be acting from a stance of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen stronger defensively and emotionally from the joint assault on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an inalienable right to enrich uranium within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Previous Discussions Unexpectedly Concluded

The prior phases of negotiations between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious end on 12 June when Israel, with US support, targeted Iranian nuclear sites in a 12-day war that culminated with the American leader declaring the sites had been destroyed. Following this, European countries employed their right to restore global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Proposed

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was settled an local partnership with American involvement could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the partnership suggestion. Diplomats claimed three times they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat the American negotiator only for the agreement to fall apart due to "spoilers in Washington".

Existing Status

Tehran representatives declared the consortium offer was now off the table, but it seems very probable the offer could be revived in some form if discussions reopen.

He stated the strikes began with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an unconditional call for a ceasefire.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were executed with complete American awareness and collaboration, making trust difficult to reestablish.

Negotiations Continues the Final Solution

Araghchi stated: "It was not Iran that had deserted dialogue; it was the United States and the European states that had always attempted to enforce their desires during the discussions. Negotiations can still be active and stays the ultimate resolution to address disputes, but its criteria, guidelines and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"Provided that they talk to the nation of Iran with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a response in the equivalent tone."

Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Iran's diplomats as the battle of repair and reconstruction, the foreign minister claimed he was assured Iran's military capacities "have significantly improved than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been rebuilt. We learned numerous insights from this war; we have identified our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He stated: "We effectively endured this war. Our atomic expertise, which they intended to eliminate, continues to exist. The sites and gear, if destroyed, will be restored; what is essential is the determination of the citizens of Tehran and then the national cohesion that they targeted, but failed to destroy. The citizens of Tehran have become more resilient, more integrated, and more supportive of the government and the nation in the face of this assault."
